Pocket is our only non-registered goat, having been cut short of a productive life fairly early on. As a kid she broke one of her back legs, and while it healed fairly well you can still tell where the fracture was. While the vet assured us this should not stop her from having a productive life, she developed neurological symptoms in the summer of 2020, likely due to having eaten an abundance of something toxic. For a few days we were not sure she would survive, having become too unstable to stand on her own, and easily excitable, but the tough little goat pulled through. She has been left with a head tilt, some wobbliness that can cause her to fall over, and a loud personality. While we do not know what caused it, we will allow her to live out her life on the farm with her mother Jazz, who has become very protective of Pocket.
